Some brotherly advice did not sit well with a 28-year-old vendor who stabbed dead his own brother Wednesday night in Quezon City after he was told to discourage his daughter from illegal gambling.
The victim, Roger Castillo, 32, carpenter, a resident of 7 Molave St., Barangay Capri, Novaliches, sustained stab wounds in the body and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Tordisillas General Hospital.
Police are now hunting down suspect Jacinto Castillo, also of the same address. Reports showed that the two brothers were having a drinking session inside their house at about 8 p.m. when the victim advised his younger brother not to allow the latter’s teenage daughter to work as a bookie for illegal gambling. – Matthew Estabillo
