Man dies watching sex movie

-
Amid the controversy stirred by the erotic movie "Live Show," a man apparently died of heart attack inside a cinema in Divisoria, Manila, Saturday night while watching a similarly provocative film.

The man, who remained unidentified yesterday, was found dead in his seat, head facing the movie screen, and with blood in his mouth.

Police found to signs of external physical injuries on the victim while his valuables were intact.

Investigation by Senior Police Officer 2 Alfredo Salazar of the Western Police District (WPD) homicide unit showed the body was spotted at about 9 p.m. by Janitor Larry Resultay, 21, in the middle of the film "Apoy sa Magdamag." Resultay told police that he knew that something was wrong upon seeing the man.

The janitor immediately informed security guards who in turn called the police.

The man was described to be about 38 years old, 5’5" tall, with dark complexion, short haircut, and robust built. He was wearing a yellow sleeveless shirt, blue shots, and a pair of slippers.

Police also found in both his arms the tattoo "Boy/Cora."

While the movie "Live Show" is billed as an art film, the movie was ordered pulled out by the government on the Catholic Church’s proddings for its sexual content. "Apoy sa Magdamag" a film originally shown months ago, however, was never claimed to be artistic.

The body was brought to the Sanctuary Funeral Home by police where it awaits identification. – Jose Aravilla
