Trinidad hits Alcera for MRT-3 mess

Pasay City Mayor Wenceslao "Peewee" Trinidad has finally come out to openly blame Vice Mayor Greg Alcera for the alleged illegal construction of the Metro Rail Transit-3 line along EDSA.
"He was the acting mayor when the construction of the ground-level MRT railtracks started in 1998. So he only has himself and his allies in the city council to blame for the wrath of the residents of barangays Malibay and Tramo," Trinidad said.
Trinidad made the statements in reply to Alceras recent challenge for a debate with his political rivals over the highly irregular MRT rail construction.
Trinidad, Alcera, and Ricardo "Ding" Santos, a former police captain and bodyguard of deceased Mayor Pablo Cuneta, are fighting for the Pasay mayoralty this May.
The MRT construction has become a major campaign issue in the Pasay elections due to the anger of residents of the two "vote-rich" barangays over the ground-level MRT construction.
Before the construction, Malibay and Tramo residents had called for elevated MRT tracks from Magallanes to Pasay Rotunda (the EDSA and Taft Avenue intersection) so as not to close off the major intersections of EDSA-Malibay and EDSA-Tramo. Rainier Allan Ronda
