23 held for illegal posters

Twenty-three supporters of senatorial candidates, former Press Secretary Ricardo "Dong" Puno and former First Lady Loi Ejercito, were arrested for unlawfully pasting campaign posters in non-designated areas in Makati City over the weekend.
First to be arrested were 12 persons who were pasting posters of Ejercito on the walls along Don Chino Roces Avenue at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Ejercito supporters said they came from Montalban, Rizal.
At around 1:20 a.m. Sunday, 11 people, mostly youngsters, were arrested by residents of Barangay Palanan, Makati for pasting campaign posters of Puno in non-designated areas of the Commission on Elections.
Police filed vandalism charges against the arrested persons. Seventy people have so far been arrested in Makati City for the same offense. Rainier Allan Ronda
