Valenzuela garments shop robbed by 7 armed men

Police are after seven unidentified heavily armed men who staged a daring daylight robbery in a garments factory in Valenzuela City last Friday.

Krisanta Garments, located at 111 Gen. Luna street, Karuhatan, Valenzuela City, owned by Tenchiong Valencia Chiong, was reportedly divested of some P400,000 in payroll money and assorted personal belongings of employees.

Police investigator PO2 Edwin Malahay said that the suspects, armed with high powered firearms such as Armalite rifles, shotguns and caliber .45 pistols, staged the robbery at about 2:20 p.m. while employees were busy preparing the workers’ weekend salaries.

The robbers entered the factory’s premises by following one of its customers, a certain Lourdes Sibal.

"When the lone security guard opened the small gate for their customer, the suspects rushed in and held the guard at gun point , then opened the main gate for a vehicle carrying their cohorts, Malahay added.

Robbers brandishing their weapons, herded the workers into the factory’s comfort room while others went to the personnel office and took the payroll money from Felisa Nasayao, the company’s secretary. Pete Laude
