Pasay City Mayor Wenceslao "Peewee" Trinidad ordered yesterday the closure of a nightclub proven to be featuring bold shows.
Ordered closed was the Miss Universal KTV and Disco Theatre, located along F. B. Harrison street, less than a hundred meters from city hall and the city police headquarters.
The mayors order came after the TV investigative show "Imbestigador" showed footages of the nightclubs "models" dancing in the nude in their weekly telecast Wednesday night.
The shows host said the footage was taken by their cameramen who joined a raid conducted by the Southern Police District Investigation and Intelligence Division Tuesday night.
"The nightclub should be closed since it was proved to be staging lewd shows. I will not tolerate that. Any nightclub that is proved to be showing lewd shows, I will order closed," Trinidad said.
Trinidad said he was ready to close down erring establishments as long as there is evidence that a particular nightclub is offering lewd shows to their customers. Rainier Allan Ronda
