Police anti-narcotics agents seized a kilo of shabu and arrested two suspected drug dealers Friday afternoon in a sting operation in Taguig, Metro Manila.
Nabbed were Orlando Ignacio, 45, and his alleged lady associate, Peachie San Pedro, 30, both of Usasan, Taguig.
The two were collared in the vicinity of Lake View Manor Condominium, also in Usasan, while handing over to police undercover agents the illegal substance worth P1.8 million.
Superintendent Pepito Domantay, Camp Crame-based anti-narcotics officer, said the suspects had been in the police watchlist as among big-time shabu suppliers in Taguig.
The two are now detained at the Narcotics Group detention cell on drug trafficking and drug dealing charges, non-bailable offenses.
Meanwhile, a security guard was shot dead by a colleague last Friday night in Las Piñas after he teased the assailant of being a rapist.
The victim, identified as Elmer Coronel, 26, of Manukan St., CAA Compound, BF International, Talon, Las Piñas, died on the spot from a shotgun wound in the stomach.
Coronel was walking with his cousin near his residence when he chanced upon the suspect, Franklin Agustar, who was with another colleague, Danilo Martinez.
Upon seeing Agustar, Coronel shouted "rapist," which infuriated the suspect and his companion. According to witnesses, Agustar confronted Coronel and an argument ensued.
During the heated argument, Agustar suddenly fired his shotgun in the air as a warning to Coronel. When the victim refused to stop, Agustar aimed his shotgun at Coronel and blasted him at close range. Jaime Laude and Marvin Sy
