Suspect Nilo Oliverio, 32, a member of the Malabon Public Order and Safety Office and a resident of Barangay Catmon, Malabon, fled after the shooting. The victim, identified as Emmanuel Fajon, of 162 Sisa Street, in Barangay Acacia, sustained gunshot wounds in the back of the head and was pronounced dead on arrival at a nearby hospital.
Case investigator Reynaldo Gabatin said the incident occurred at about 11 a.m. along Mangosteen Street, Barangay Potrero.
Fajon was driving his jeep together with a friend, Orlando Perez, 30, when the suspect boarded the vehicle. As the victim came to a stop, Oliverio took out his caliber .38 revolver and fired two shots at Fajon, who had his back turned.
Perez said the suspect fled after the shooting. Oliverio, who was off-duty at the time, was still wearing his traffic uniform. Authorities believe the suspect had a score to settle with Fajon over old traffic disputes.
Meanwhile, a man was arrested for sexually molesting a four-year-old girl in Parañaque City the other day.
Senior Police Officer 3 Odeo Cariño, case investigator, identified the suspect as Ronierick Montanes, a resident of Malugay street, Barangay San Martin de Porres, in this city.
Police operatives swooped down in his house and at around 8 p.m. Monday after the young victims mother filed a complaint before the Parañaque police a few hours earlier. According to the mother, she had arrived home and fetched her daughter from the suspects mother.
Edna explained that she had an arrangement with Ramonita wherein she entrusts her daughter to the woman whenever she goes to work.
At their house, Edna said she noticed that her daughter looked agitated and squirming from a pain in her body. When she examined the girl, Edna said she discovered her childs vagina was swollen.
