An unidentified man was stabbed dead outside an eatery in Tandang Sora, Quezon City before dawn yesterday.
The victim was found lying on his back in a pool of blood in front of Aling Noras eatery located at Tandang Sora, corner Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City at around 4 a.m.
Police Officer 1 Jojo Miranda, officer-on-case, said the victim died on the spot due to a stab wound in the back.
Witnesses saw the victim earlier playing "kara-krus" with a group of men in front of the eatery before the incident happened.
They said one of them pulled out a bladed weapon and stabbed the victim in the back. The suspects fled bringing the fatal weapon.
Miranda believes the stabbing was triggered by a heated argument after the suspects lose to the victim and refused to pay up.
Police recovered from the victim a coin purse containing old 25 centavo coins which he probably used in playing "kara-krus."
The cadaver of the victim was brought to the PNP Crime Laboratory for autopsy. Pia Lee-Brago
