Faulty brakes on a public utility bus resulted in the injury of four persons, including STAR columnist Rosalinda "Baby" Orosa, in a recent road mishap in Makati City.
Based on the report of traffic officer Ernesto Luzon, the incident took place last Dec. 9 involving a four-door sedan and two PUBs.
Ms. Orosa, along with her sister, Helen Orosa del Rosario, niece Eloisa Francisco and Jose Francisco were driving along Buendia Avenue headed towards the South Superhighway in Makati when the accident took place. At around 6:15 p.m. the Toyota Corolla sedan of Orosa had just crossed the intersection of Filmore street and Buendia Avenue, when a Joycell Express Bus (PYA-665) driven by Ricardo Marcilla started to straddle two lanes of the road, forcing the sedan to stop.
A few seconds later, Orosas car was hit from behind by another passenger bus belonging to the Jell Trans bus line (PWT-713).
The impact of the collision caused the car to plunge forward and hit the Joycell bus in front of it. Marvin Sy
