Ex-soldier nabbed for raping 3 Makati girls

A retired soldier was arrested yesterday after being charged of rape by the parents of three girls in Makati City.

Police identified the suspect as Hilario Tacazon, 58, of Block 165, Lot 5, Calachuchi St., Barangay Pembo, Makati City.

The victims were two sisters, aged nine and six, and their eight-year-old cousin, all of Block 169, Lot 5 of the same barangay. All three victims positively identified the suspect when he was presented by the police yesterday.

Based on the police investigation, the first victim was raped by the suspect on Oct. 22 then on Nov. 12.

The suspect reportedly tricked the girl into going with him by offering her money in exchange for her cooperation.

Based on the testimony of the girl, she was raped inside Tacazon’s house and no money was given to her.

It was during the girl’s narration of the incident to her parents that her sister and cousin also revealed their similar experiences with the suspect.

Tacazon reportedly used the same tactics and raped both girls inside his house.

PO1 Joel delos Santos of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Makati police said the victims will be subjected to medical examination while the suspect detained at the police station while charges are being prepared against him. – Marvin Sy
