A 23-year-old vendor was stabbed dead by a neighbor as he was playing cards with some friends in Caloocan City Wednesday. The victim, Rolando Cabalhin, of Daang Bakal, Luna street, Barangay 32, Caloocan, died while undergoing medical treatment at the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center. Operatives of the Caloocan City Police are now conducting a manhunt for suspect Donato Carpio, 28, who fled after the incident. Reports showed that the stabbing occurred at about 7 p.m. while the victim was playing cards with several friends. Carpio reportedly arrived reeking of liquor and was also believed to be high on drugs. The victim ignored the suspect who, without warning, pulled out a knife and stabbed Cabalhin in the neck. Carpio escaped as the victims companions took Cabalhin to the hospital. The victims father, Eremio, said the suspect might have had an old grudge against his son. Matthew Estabillo
