Kilo of shabu hidden inside wood sandals

A kilo of shabu was found yesterday stashed in the thick wooden sandals of a woman passenger bound for Cebu during a routine security inspection of departing passengers at the Manila Domestic Airport in Pasay City.
Aviation Security Group chief Marcelo Ele said the shabu was found in the hollow wooden sandals of Jenah Rico of 32 Kaunlaran St. Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.
Rico, according to Ele, had already passed the first metal security detector check, but security personnel at the final security check of the departure area noticed Ricos "too thick" and "high" wooden sandals and her noticeably slow pace which arose their suspicion.
When told to remove her thick wooden sandals, Rico reluctantly handed them to security personnel who found the shabu hidden in the sandals. Rey Arquiza
