Cop goes berserk in Tondo; 2 die

Manila policemen are hunting down a member of the elite police Special Action Force (SAF) who allegedly shot to death two persons, and wounded two others in Tondo, Manila Sunday night.
Homicide probers identified the suspect as PO1 Eric del Rosario, detailed at Camp Crame and reportedly now absent without official leave (AWOL).
Investigation showed that Del Rosario was reportedly drinking with his brother inside their house on Panday Pira street at about 7:15 p.m. when they reportedly got into an argument.
The suspect was later seen coming out of their house, brandishing a pistol of still undetermined caliber.
Without warning, he opened fire at bystanders, instantly killing Larry Buluran and his brother Rogelio who were both hit in the neck.
Also wounded in the shooting frenzy were Christopher Mejia, 11, and Rodolfo Dangan. Bystanders rushed them to the Mary Johnson Hospital for treatment and observation.
The suspect, police said, fled on foot after the incident. Mike Frialde
