2 women fall for drugs

CEBU, Philippines - At least two women reportedly engaged in selling illegal drugs were arrested by authorities in Sitio Rattan, Barangay Tanke, Talisay City last Wednesday evening.

Police identified the arrested persons as Roquilla Cabigon, 42, and Monette Hoybia, 20, both residents of the said place.

Talisay City police received a call from a concerned citizen informing them that the suspects were selling illegal drugs casually.

Inspector Windell Abellana and his men immediately responded and successfully apprehended the suspects.

The suspects did not resist arrest as they were cornered.

Police seized 34 small sachets of suspected shabu from Cabigon and 36 from Hoybia.

Authorities estimated the value of the confiscated items at P37,760.

The suspects were brought to Talisay City Police Station and placed behind bars waiting for the charges to be filed against them.  (FREEMAN)
