CEBU, Philippines – Unidentified perpetrators robbed Talisay City Central School in Barangay Poblacion on Sunday evening, according to the police.

The school principal, Josephine Rabaya, personally appeared yesterday at the Talisay City Police Station to report that some items in her school had been stolen.

She said the school lost its washing facility that was yet to be installed and some carpentry tools such as bolo, mallet, and crowbar, among others.

She said the carpenters placed their tools near the demolished building. They carpenters are about to construct new classrooms.

Rabaya believed that the perpetrators might have carried out their criminal act on Sunday evening.

She said the school has a security guard but is not around for 24 hours. The suspect/s might have climbed the concrete fence to gain entry to the school, she added.

Meanwhile, a 72-year-old woman was wounded after she was struck by her neighbor with a pipe while she was sweeping outside their house in Barangay Poblacion, Talisay City last Sunday morning.

The victim, Iluminda Belleza, sustained severe head injuries.

The other neighbors who saw the incident came to the victim's rescue and rushed her to Talisay City District Hospital.

Onasin said they will be filing charges against the suspect.
