CEBU, Philippines - Two lovers who were spending time with other were robbed while a woman also fell prey to reportedly the same riding-in-tandem suspects Friday evening in Barangay Dumlog, Talisay City.

Rainer Henderson Delda, 19, resident of Barangay Tungkil, Minglanilla town, and his girlfriend, Kate Abaquita, 18, resident of Barangay Dumlog, Talisay City, personally appeared at the Talisay City Police to ask assistance.

They alleged that while they were walking, the two suspects approached them armed with an unknown firearm.

The suspects then pointed their gun to them and declared hold-up while asking for their valuables.

The victims handed their respective cellphones.

The suspects then fled with the use of motorcycle as their get-away vehicle.

Two hour earlier, Pinky Ytoc, 26, resident of Deca Homes Subdivision was on her way home when she was also robbed by arguably the same persons.

Ytoc was about to enter their subdivision when she was approached by two unidentified suspects armed with unknown caliber of firearm.

The suspects declared hold-up and carted away her P4,500 cash, cellphone, identification cards and other belongings placed in her bag.

According to the police, they are still conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the identity of the two suspects.

To avoid similar incidents, however, they have advised the public to stay in well-lit places to avoid being victimized by unscrupulous individuals.

They have also warned against bringing large amount of money and valuables in public places. — Gabriel C. Bonjoc of BANAT News
