Masseuse arrested for “stabbing” co-worker
CEBU, Philippines - A female massage therapist was arrested after allegedly stabbing her co-masseuse inside the spa they were working for in Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City Thursday, around 2:10 in the morning.
Hanah Jean Valdez, 31, a resident of Barangay Agus, was detained at the Lapu-Lapu City Police Station after she reportedly stabbed 39-year-old Violeta Greolin, a resident of Barangay Maribago.
Senior Police Officer 2 Allan Pantaleon of Lapu-Lapu City Police Office-Homicide Section said that according to their initial investigation, prior to the incident, Greonil saw Valdez’s “different way” of giving a massage to one of their clients.
Greonil, inside that room, reprimanded Valdez on her performance which irked the latter and challenged Greonil to a fistfight.
Due to her anger, Valdez reportedly got a sharp weapon and stabbed Greonil in the back.
Margie Marmis, 22, reportedly saw the incident and tried to pacify. But she was wounded in her right hand when she attempted to grab the sharp weapon from the suspect.
Greonil and Marmis were rushed to the Lapu-Lapu City District Hospital and were later transferred to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for further medical treatment.
Senior Police Officer 2 Pantaleon added that Valdez was arrested by the responding police officers of the Mactan Police Station 2.
He said that cases of attempted homicide and slight physical injury would be filed against the Valdez. (FREEMAN)
