Talisay employees to get P30T bonus
CEBU, Philippines – Officials and regular employees of the Talisay City Government will celebrate the Christmas season with a P30,000 bonus.
Yesterday, the City Council approved unanimously the Supplemental Budget No. 2 amounting to P35.4 million which contains appropriation for the bonus.
Vice Mayor Romeo Villarante, the council presiding officer, said all 315 regular employees and 13 elected officials – Mayor Johnny V. De los Reyes, Villarante, 10 councilors and the Association of Barangay Council president in the city will receive P30,000 each.
Villarante stressed that job order workers will only receive deferential incentives.
He said he cannot yet give specific amount as to how much each JO personnel would be receiving.
Under Budget Circular 2010-1 of the Department of Budget and Management, the government personnel are entitled to a year-end bonus equivalent to a month’s pay as well as a cash gift of P5,000.
It said that all government employees should receive their 13th month pay and bonus on time because budget has been allocated for it. –/JRS
