Security guard's gun stolen
CEBU, Philippines - A yet unknown burglar stole a .38 cal. pistol from a security guard who was making her surveillance rounds in one of the establishments in Lapu-Lapu City on Friday morning.
The guard was identified as SG Amelita Laurita, 37, who works under Sarsalejo Security Agency and a resident of Barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City. Laurita is detailed at a building owned by Medan Cebu Incorporated in Sitio Cemento, Barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City.
Senior Police Officer 1 Roger Uriarte of Lapu-Lapu City Police Office Station 5 said the stealing could have occurred around 4 a.m. Upon Laurita's return to her desk, she was shocked that her valuables, including her issued firearm, were already allegedly gone.
