CEBU, Philippines- The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-7 is conducting close monitoring of different colleges and universities due to the presence of illegal drugs in Cebu City known as "fly high."

Customers of the suspects are said to be college students and party goers who   usually go to disco bars in Cebu City.

Also known as "party" or "superman" in the local party scene, the drug is a dangerous cocktail of ecstasy and shabu or cialis, a drug used to treat erectile dysfunction, according to a report on Rappler.com.

Between three to four days, its effects include insomnia, loss of appetite, and hypersexuality, according to Jacquelyn de Guzman of the PDEA National Capital Region office.

It's long-term effects have not yet been determined, but De Guzman said one of the possible detrimental effects include ulcers caused by not eating for days on end, serious mental issues, and cardiovascular problems.

"It has an effect on the psyche of a person....It's a drug so it's possible for any drug to lead to a mental nervous breakdown and a heart attack," she added.

In Cebu City, the arrest of Jose Rafael Dizon and Richard Tan in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City a few days ago has sparked the police to further monitor those involved in the trade, as well as students and the youth.

Authorities seized P100,000 worth of fly high capsules from the suspects, each reportedly costing P67.

PDEA-7 director Jeffrey Bangsa said they were monitoring the suspect's operation since March.
