CEBU, Philippines - A 38-year-old trisikad driver landed in hospital after he was severely stabbed by a fellow trisikad driver in Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City Tuesday evening.

Walter Fortogaleza, a resident of Sitio Angasil, Barangay Mactan, was rushed to Lapu-Lapu City Hospital after he sustained stab wounds in his arms and body when stabbed by a fellow trisikad driver.

He was later transferred to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for further medical treatment.

Police identified the suspect as Crisanto Aying, 57, a trisikad driver, also a resident of said place.

Police investigation revealed that moments prior to the incident, the victim and the suspect were arguing on who among them got first in the queue to take the next passengers.

At the height of their confrontation, the suspect suddenly pulled out a kitchen knife tucked in his waist and stabbed the victim hitting his right waist.

The suspect immediately fled on board his trisikad while the victim was rushed to the hospital.
