Talisay student falls from second floor
CEBU, Philippines - A 15-year-old grade 8 student of the Talisay City National High School was rushed to the City District Hospital yesterday morning after he accidentally fell from the school building's second floor.
The victim, Christian Bautista of Barangay Biasong, sustained wounds on in his right head and arm fracture from the fall.
Virgilio Bustillo, one of those who responded to the incident, said the victim and his friends were shoving on the second floor of school building in Barangay Poblacion.
Rosner Bullozos, guidance counselor of the school, said that the Physical Education class of Baustista had already been dismissed when the incident happened.
Prior to it, Bautista and his friends were reportedly told by the teacher not to stay at the stairway.
"Nagtuo gyud ko nga kaning bata-a nilingkod ni sa concrete barrier kay imposible man kaayo nga matagak lang ug nagtukmod-tukmod," Bullozos said.
Bullozos said they immediately brought the student to the hospital for treatment.
The boy was still conscious while being headed to the hospital.
It was known that Bautista hit first on a tree before he landed on the ground.
School officials said the incident will be further investigated on. — (FREEMAN)
