Compostela asks telecom firms to improve service
CEBU, Philippines - Residents, the business sector and town officias of Compostela are asking telecommunications companies to improve their services.
Compostela Vice Mayor Josephine Abing said this was because residents and businessmen in the town, especially those in mountain barangays, complained on the poor services of these telecom firms.
Abing said the officers and members of the newly-formed Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Compostela, Cebu, Inc. headed by Pedro "Pete" Delantar asked the different telecommunication companies to upgrade their services.
The vice mayor said the businessmen group's request in form of a resolution has been forwarded to their office for support.
According to Abing, they supported the request made by the chamber because they also received the same complaints.
In particular, the businessmen's group asked the telecom service providers to provide additional cell sites in different barangays, especially the mountain areas. — (FREEMAN)
