Mayor’s mgt staff formed in Danao

CEBU, Philippines - Danao City Mayor Ramonito Durano III recently created the Mayor's Managenement Staff whose primary purpose is to monitor the implementation of city-funded projects.

Durano said the city government has lined up different projects for implementation this year, but he admitted there are also projects that may encounter problems.

In a meeting, Mayor Durano said he wants to fast-track the implementation of projects to benefit the residents in the different barangays of Danao.

The city government, under the administration of Mayor Durano, intends to push through with the implementation of the Water Bulk Project in Danao City.

He said the project will not only solve the water supply problem in the city but also the water supply needs of Metro Cebu.

Although he said the project was halted due to some issues of the previous administration, Mayor Durano said he wants to realize the project this time.

The city government has also lined up different projects in the different barangays related to drainage improvement.

Mayor Durano also wants the different section and department heads to report to him any problem that might cause delay in the implementation of the projects.

Danao City recently received P3 million from the Department of Interior and Local Government for Good Housekeeping.

Officials said they received the award for the good implementation of city-funded projects in the city that benefit the constituents. (FREEMAN)
