Canduman fire razes five stores

CEBU, Philippines -  A fire allegedly caused by faulty electrical wiring damaged five sari-sari stores and two residential structures in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City Tuesday evening.

The fire alarm was reported to the Mandaue Fire Department at 8:30 p.m. and placed under control by responding firemen from Mandaue City and neighboring cities of Cebu and Talisay at 9:04 p.m.

Initial investigation conducted by Senior Fire Officer 3 Julius Lua of the Mandaue City Fire Department revealed the fire allegedly started at the sari-sari store owned by Lucia Sicad and spread to the nearby sari-sari stores.

Fire investigators will summon the affected residents and witnesses to shed light on the fire incident.

No one was reported injured during the fire but initial damage was placed at P150,000.  (FREEMAN)
