Consolacion sponsors Sta. Fe school repairs

CEBU, Philippines - The Municipality of Consolacion has adopted a school in Sta. Fe town in Bantayan Island and is helping in the repair of the school building damaged by typhoon Yolanda last year.

Mayor Teresa P. Alegado was authorized by Sangguniang Bayan to sign the Memorandum of  Agreement in behalf of the municipality in relation to adopt the Rehabilitation of School buildings damaged by Typhoon Yolanda in the Municipality of Sta Fe, Bantayan Island.

The Municipality of Consolacion has committed to provide the necessary technical and skilled manpower, tools and equipment needed to complete the repair and reconstruction of the school building in Talisay Primary School in Sta. Fe town.

The municipall officials of Consolacion  ink a partnership with  Ramon  Aboitiz  Foundation, Inc., local officials of Sta. Fe and International Labor Organization.

After the signing of the agreement, the rehabilitation work started last May 29, 2014 to finish in a month time.

Mayor Alegado said with the completion of the school building rehabilitation it will help the students enrolled this year's opening of classes.

On the other hand, the municipal officials of Sta. Fe expressed their thanks to Consolacion officialas for their support. (FREEMAN)
