CEBU, Philippines - A Cebu City police official said the person who was killed inside a drug den on Monday afternoon in Barangay Day-as was in their watchlist for his alleged involvement in several robberies and carnapping incidents in the city.

Rolan Colina alias "Letgan" was shot dead by a certain Emmanuel Richard alias "Pachoy" and Jolan Flores alias "Olay" was with him when the incident happened.

Police recovered one empty shell of caliber 9mm pistol and live ammunition now in the custody of the Crime Scene Investigation Unit.

In a press conference, Chief Inspector Romeo Santander, City Intelligence Branch chief, said Colina is among the persons that CIB is looking after.

Santander said they will verify if he belonged to a bigger group or he operated alone.

He added that in 2012, Letgan and his colleagues figured in a shootout with CIB operatives where one was reportedly wounded.

In a separate interview, Cebu City Vice Mayor Edgardo Labella said Colina, who is his nephew, gave "headache" to the community.

He said prior to the incident, he advised Colina's mother that it was better for him to be inside the prison than to be outside, or else something might happen to him.

Labella said he suspected that Colina is among those who broke into his house who carted away his television set and other appliances.
