Siblings nabbed over rape raps

CEBU, Philippines - The Investigative and Detective Management Bureau of the Mandaue City Police Office arrested two siblings after an arrest warrant was issued against them for raping their neighbor at Kobe Housing in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.

Kimpee Avila, 20, and his younger brother, 17, were arrested in their house past 3 p.m. Friday.

Both were arrested based on the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Estella Alma Singco of Regional Trial Court Branch 55.

The said warrant was issued against the siblings after they were linked in the rape of their neighbor, a minor, last April 2013.

Both suspects are now detained at the Canduman Police Station awaiting for their commitment order to the Mandaue City Jail.  (FREEMAN)
