Argument, grudge behind shooting
CEBU, Philippines - On Sunday afternoon in Sitio Bulahan, Barangay Carmen,Toledo City, a man named Enrique Eben Sr., 71, was shot in the abdomen by his neighbor identified as Rolando Toyogon, 24, a trisikad driver. Both were residents of the said place.
Based on police investigation, the two were having a heated argument over their long-standing grudge and that later on, the suspect reportedly hurled stones on the victim's house.
Not contented, the suspect pulled out a firearm and shot the victim once in his abdomen.
When the victim's son, Enrique Eben Jr., tried to rescue his father, he was then fired twice by the suspect who missed.
Victim was rushed to Toledo District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
The cadaver is now at St. Francis Funeral Homes subject for autopsy. (FREEMAN)
