CEBU, Philippines - The Talisay City Council is asking the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-7 for the establishment of developmental routes at the South Road Properties.

The stations shall serve new routes that will traverse the following: Talisay - SRP - Mambaling - SRP - Talisay; Talisay - SRP - Mambaling - SRP - Downtown (near Cebu City Hall); SM City Cebu - North Bus Terminal - SM City Cebu - Downtown (near  Cebu City Hall) - SRP - Mambaling - SRP - Talisay; North Bus Terminal - SM City Cebu -Downtown (near Cebu City Hall) - SRP - Mambaling - SRP - Downtown (near Cebu City Hall) - SM City Cebu - North Bus Terminal.

"The City Council of the City of Talisay recognizes the need to establish the new routes, subject to the recommendations and findings of the recommendatory entities, consistent with and for the furtherance of the City of Talisay's overall transport strategy for the SRP, and that the transport system to be operated in the new routes will involve a high quality public transport system for such period until the Cebu Bus Rapid Transit System is implemented," Ylanan said.

Ylanan also favorably endorsed to the LTFRB the establishment of the proposed new routes, as follows: Talisay - SRP - Mambaling - SRP - Talisay; Talisay - SRP - Mambaling - SRP - Downtown (near Cebu City Hall)  SM City Cebu - North Bus Terminal - SM City Cebu - Downtown (near Cebu City Hall) - SRP - Mambaling - SRP - Talisay; North Bus Terminal - SM City Cebu -Downtown (near Cebu City Hall) - SRP - Mambaling - SRP - Downtown (near Cebu City Hall) - SM City Cebu - North Bus Terminal.

In a letter dated February 6, LTRFB Chairman Winston M. Ginez already forwarded the endorsement of LTFRB Regional Director Ahmed Cuizon to open the developmental routes specified above to Sherielysse Bonifacio of the Department of Transportation and Communications for appropriate action.

A separate formal letter from the management of SM Supermalls dated March 12, 2014 addressed to the City Council of the City of Talisay was seeking for the favorable endorsement of the developmental routes.
