Unruly drunks end up in jail
CEBU, Philippines - Two drunk persons were arrested by a mall guard of J Centre Mall in Barangay Bakilid, Mandaue City for allegedly displaying rude behavior while onboard a public utility jeepney Sunday evening.
Kenneth Lucero, 22, and Nichol Cane, 26, both residents of Barangay Bakilid, were arrested after the victims Erdaliz Parilla, 22, of Alcoy town, and siblings Francis and Tephanie dela Torre of Barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City, complained of acts of lasciviousness and physical injuries against the duo.
Senior Police Officer 1 Michael Lima-Lima of Subangdaku Police said while onboard, the victims noticed that the suspects' hands began touching their private parts which caused them to get irked and to warn them to stop doing it or else they would call the police.
But instead of listening to them, both suspects got mad and a commotion occurred inside the vehicle.
When the PUJ stopped at the terminal of J Centre, both suspects disembarked and the victims chanced to seek assistance from mall guard Andrean Cardoso, who then chased and arrested the suspects and turned them over to the policeman on duty inside the mall.
Both suspects are presently detained at the Subangdaku Police Station pending the filing of cases of violation of the city ordinance on drunkenness, acts of lasciviousness and physical injuries.
