Carcar activates one-stop shop
CEBU, Philippines - The Carcar City government has activated the one-stop shop at city hall.
The shop aims to speed up the process of renewing business permits and licenses.
Carcar City Mayor Nicepuro Apura said the activation is done annually to prevent business owners from lining up.
“This one stop shop makes the process of renewing business permits easier and faster,†Apura said.
Information officer Candice Acuna said January is usually the time when business permits and licenses are renewed.
The one-stop shop is open during weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Acuna said the one-stop shop will run until January 20, which is also the deadline for the renewal of business permits and licenses.
Business owners who fail to meet the deadline will pay a 25 percent surcharge and 2 percent penalty per month for unpaid taxes. (FREEMAN)
