Woman suspects nephew raped her sleeping daughter

CEBU, Philippines - A 46-year-old mother brought a nephew to the police on suspicion he had raped her daughter in barangay Tabunok, Talisay City.

PO2 Shindey Felecitas Taboco of Talisay City Police Station (TCPS) Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) said on Christmas Eve at around 1:00 a.m. the nephew went inside the woman’s house.

The mother told police she saw her nephew under a table where her daughter was sleeping. She became suspicious when she noticed that one hand of her nephew was inside his pants.

She said that as she went downstairs, her nephew stood up.

Under the table, she saw her daughter asleep, her pants’ fly open, and the “tube” blouse already pulled down.

She immediately awakened her daughter.

She said she arrested her nephew and turned him over to the police.
