CEBU, Philippines - Talisay City Councilor Danny Caballero has reminded the police to put up more checkpoints in the city in view of the robberies that happened last Tuesday.

At 12:10 dawn last Tuesday, Frederick Lim Reville, Jr., 24, of barangay Pasil, Cebu City and Jessi Cabo Dela Peña, 20, of barangay Cansojong, Talisay City were robbed by two men on a motorcycle.

Just a few minutes later, Francisco Roblon Gumera, 44, painter, told police his motorcycle was stolen.

At around 2:30 dawn, Ronnel Jade Gabin, 29, told the police that someone stole his motorcycle.

After learning about the incidents, Caballero urged the city police to be more watchful.

Caballero said during the Yuletide Season, lawless people always find ways to rob other people.

The councilor also urged residents to help the police fight crime by being vigilant. — (FREEMAN)
