Man, 39, arrested for gun possession

CEBU, Philippines - The police, allegedly acting on a tip, arrested Sunday a man for alleged illegal possession of firearms and illegal drugs in barangay Poblacion, Danao City.

Arrested was Ric Bracero, 39, of barangay San Miguel, San Remigio town after allegedly attempted to shoot at them.

A team led by PO3 Marlon Remollo introduced themselves as the police but instead of going with them, Bracero pulled out a .22 cal. Black Widow magnum revolver and attempted to shoot at the police.

But the man was disarmed just in time.

Confiscated from him was the loaded gun, alleged shabu, a cellular phone, and P153.

Bracero is now detained at the Danao City stockade pending the filing of criminal charges in court.  (FREEMAN)
