Samsam Gullas pleased with Alayon’s strength

CEBU, Philippines - First district representative Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas Jr. said he is happy that Alayon has remained strong in Talisay City.

“Nagpakita ang Alayon sa dakbayan sa Talisay nga pwerte pa gyung lig-ona,” he said.

Gullas was in Talisay yesterday to administer the oath of office of newly elected barangay officials at the San Isidro parish church in barangay San Isidro.

Alayon is headed by former first district representative Eduardo Gullas, Samsam’s grandfather.

Talisay City is composed of barangays Biasong, Bulacao, Camp 4, Candulawan, Cansojong, Dumlog, Jaclupan, Lagtang, Lawaan I, Lawaan II, Lawaan III, Linao, Maghaway, Manipis, Mohon, Poblacion, Pooc, San Isidro, San Roque, Tabunok, Tanke, and Tapul.

Of the 22 barangays only four barangays namely Cansojong, Linao, San Roque and Lawaan I are not allied of Alayon.

in his speech, former Congressman Eduardo Gullas said no leader can make mistakes if they only follow God’s commands.

On other hand, Samsam echoed Fr. Mier’s homily.

“Kita’y gipili sa Ginoo nga instrument alang sa iyang maayong buhat, dili lang diri sa atong pinalanggang siyudad kundili tibuok province sa Cebu ug sa tibuok Philippines ug mapasalamaton ta sa Ginoo nga nahimong instrument niya,” Samsam said.

The young Congressman also said he is happy that Alayon in Talisay has remained strong.

Samsam Gullas said Alayon has chosen barangay Jaclupan captain Joel Orbiso and Raul Cabañero of barangay Bulacao as candidates for president of the Association of Barangay Captains.

The incoming officials attended mass before taking their oath.
