CEBU, Philippines - An alleged ex-convict was gunned down by an unidentified man in barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City yesterday dawn.
Ernesto Obrador, 25, a motorcycle-for-hire driver who had just been allegedly released from prison, was shot to death by a man who rode on a red Honda motorcycle.
Obrador was reportedly driving a motorcycle while looking for passengers in Forest Hills, Banawa, at past 12 am when the assailant, who wore a full face helmet, shot him several times.

SPO1 Ruth Violango of the Homicide Section said they suspected personal grudge as the motive behind the incident as the victim allegedly mentioned prior to the attack that someone has been harboring an ill feeling against him.
“Hunahuna sa iyang igsoon naa siya’y kontra na taga diha ra duol sa ila kay mao’y sulti sa biktima na gikontrahan siya, wa lang siya nisulti kinsa ug ngano,†Violango said.
Violango said they have not acquired any documents yet, but the victim’s elder sister Elena said he was just released from Muntinlupa City Jail, where he was imprisoned for three years for a murder case in Cebu City.
