Woman arrested for striking hubby

CEBU, Philippines - A woman was arrested for allegedly striking and wounding her husband with a piece of galvanized iron Sunday evening in sitio Superior, barangay Looc, Mandaue City.

Bienvinida Comendador, 46, struck husband Alejandro hitting him on the armpit.

Police said the man arrived home intoxicated and began accusing his wife of giving away his cigarettes to neighbors.

The police said the woman at first ignored her husband. She was used to being accused of giving their things to neighbors.

When he started hitting her, the wife grabbed a piece of galvanized iron and struck him.

The couple’s children took him to hospital.

Charges are being readied against the wife.  (FREEMAN)
