“Bayanihan” spirit alive in Cordova
CEBU, Philippines - The “bayanihan†spirit helped fishermen in Cordova town cope with everyday life when this was disrupted by the oil spill, Mayor Adelino Sitoy yesterday said.
Help came. The town government provided food and paid them to help clean up the mess, and a number of residents pitched in.
The mayor said barangay officials should encourage residents to continue the spirit of bayanihan.
Mandaue City and Liloan town also provided support. (FREEMAN)
