Mandaue’s outstanding employees, 8 others get awards

CEBU, Philippines - Mandaue City’s outstanding twenty-five government workers were given cash plaques of recognition Friday.

Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes lauded the “outstanding government employees” for their important contributions to the city.

“It is our responsibility as individuals to contribute for the prosperity of Mandaue,” said Cortes during the awarding of 25 government employees and 8 others last Friday including six from national government agencies whose offices are located in the city.

The mayor said the city is implementing the Performance Governance System wherein the functions of employees are streamlined for effective delivery of service.

Supreme Court Associate Justice Jose Perezin in his keynote speech cited the efforts of the city for the realization of its vision of making Mandaue as the “premier business destination in Central Philippines with a community free from want living in an environment that is friendly to man and nurturing life through arts, culture and sports.”

Awarded with a plaque of recognition and a cash prize of P3,500 each, the awardees included the “national servants”, Ruthselpher Acapulco of Subangdaku Elementary School, Outstanding Public School Elementary teacher;” Dante Infante, Mandaue City Science High School, Outstanding Public High School teacher; Rogelio Garbo, Mandaue City School for the Arts, Outstanding School Head, secondary level; Lyle Daclan, Parole and Probation Office, Outstanding National employee; Snr. Jail Officer1 Jonathan Medina, Outstanding Jail Officer.

Snr. Police Officer 3 Lino Baylosis, Outstanding Police Non-Commissioned Officer; Pol. Snr. Inspector Wilson Abot, Outstanding Police Commissioned Officer; Police Station 3, Most Outstanding Police Station with Abot as station chief.

“Local servants”, Jovelyn Asingua, Barangay Looc, Oustanding Barangay Health Nutrition worker; Marilyn Olorvida, Barangay Subangdaku, Outstanding Clean and Green employee; Ninfa Bordario, Brgy. Tawason, Outstanding Day Care worker; Henry Bergamo, Outstanding JASSU personnel; Pedrito Inalem, Outstanding JASSU supervisor; Rosendo Naparate, Oustanding Team Enforcer; Judaline Colina, Brgy. Subangdaku, Outstanding Job Order personnel; Conchita Icalina, Nrgy. Subangdaku, Outstanding regular employee; Genedino Manatad, Long-serving city government employee (43 years).

Nilo Manatad, Outstanding Barangay Tanod; Tessie Dimco, Bryg. Pagsabungan, Outstanding Barangay Treasurer; Joseph Bontilao, Banilad, Outstanding Barangay secretary; Goldielyn Tarriman, Tabok, Outstanding SK Chairman; Josefina Rosal, Tabok, Outstanding Barangay Kagawad; Leo Jabas, Canduman, Outstanding Punong Barangay; Lupong Tagapamayapa (incentive awards).

Special awards were given to Caryl Codina, Little Miss Solane; Itsuko Maree Bacatan, Philippine team member, girls,  Asia Football Confederation; Arantxa Mari Trebol, Phil, Team member, Asia Footbal Conf. Phils. under 14 girls;  Mary Claire Abarquez, regional winner, Barangay Secretary Category, TOBOY 2012.

Also awarded were Christine Ligaya Iway, 9th placer, Nursing Licensure Exam; Dena Mae Amor Desabille, 6th placer, Nursing Licensure Exam; Beverly Anne Balagon, topnocther, Nursing Licensure Exam, and Mandaue City Cooperative Development Office, Gawad Parangal awardee, regional level. (FREEMAN)
