CEBU, Philippines - The Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (TEAM) is set to serve warrants of arrest to 12 erring jeepney drivers in the city who were convicted by the court for numerous traffic violations.

Team director Erwin Ermac yesterday said warrants of arrest will be served to more jeepney drivers.

He said the penalties of these erring drivers have already piled up and have reached P5,000 to P8,000.

“Kining mga drivers magsalig ra man gud ni sila nga once madakpan igo ra man sila mobayad sa admin fee nga P200. Ang uban nila mu-compromise busa hatagan sa chance. If di pa dyud kabayad, ikiha ngadto sa piskalya. Laing summon na sad ug di pa dyud kabayad, e-elevate na ngadto sa korte if makonbikto P200 ra dyapon ilang penalty kay wa may priso nga nalatid sa ordinansa, busa niabot na ngadto P5,000 ngadto sa P8,000 kay nag-pile-up na ilang penalties,” Ermac said. — (FREEMAN)
