Jailbirds to donate hair

CEBU, Philippines - In Lapu-Lapu City, prisoners detained at the city jail in sitio Soong, barangay Mactan have agreed to have their hair cut today and donate the hair to the city government, which will use it to make a mesh to collect spilt oil from the sunken MV Thomas Aquinas.

 The move is in response to the call made by Mayor Paz Radaza who is appealing to the private sector and other groups to help in the clean up. – (FREEMAN)
