Boy, 12, man, 31, die in separate accidents

CEBU, Philippines - A pedestrian died Friday evening at A. Del Rosario Street in barangay Guizo, Mandaue City in an accident involving a pick-up.

Jude Anthony Lisondra, 23 of barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City was on his way to Cebu City when his Isuzu D-MAX pick-up rammed two eateries owned by Rowena Maribojoc, 68.

Lisondra’s vehicle also hit Joseph Genos, 31, a pedestrian.

Genos was immediately taken to the Mandaue City Hospital but died from his injuries before reaching the hospital.

The pick-up also hit two other vehicles which were parked on the roadside.

Lisondra was brought to a hospital and then to the Subangdaku police station.

Earlier, 12-year-old Jay Boy Batancila, died after getting hit by a car driven by Antonio Gamalier, 67, of Consolacion town.

Gamalier immediately brought the child to the Cortes General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The driver was also brought to the Subangdaku police station. (FREEMAN)
