Student found floating in river

CEBU, Philippines - A 21-year-old student was found Monday morning floating and believed to have drowned in a river in sitio Gayrocks, barangay Pangdan, Naga City.

Ruel John Largo, a second year Bachelor of Science in Criminology student in one of the universities in Cebu City, reportedly crossed the river around midnight paying no attention to a companion who suggested he postpone his plan to go home considering it was raining hard.

At around 3:00 p.m., fisherman Josie Brigoli found Largo floating in the river. He then informed the barangay captain who in turn called the police.

Largo suffered cuts on his forehead and lower left eye.  (FREEMAN)
