Lesley Caminade-Vestil - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - An 18-year-old man was shot dead Sunday night while playing billiards with friends in barangay Tanke, Talisay City.

Raymund Piloto, 18, did not reach the hospital alive.

Witnesses have so far refused to cooperate with the police.

Investigators believed Piloto’s murder may have been a case of mistaken identity after police found out that Piloto’s brother, a certain Lantoy Piloto, is suspected of having a hand in several robberies in the city.

SPO2 Oliver Dacua of  the Talisay City Police Station said Piloto was playing billiards with friends in sitio Salvador in Tanke when a man arrived.

The man allegedly sneaked behind Piloto and shot him in the head.

The gunman and an alleged accomplice fled after the shooting.

Police recovered an empty shell of .45 caliber in the crime scene. (FREEMAN)
