Mandaue, Talisay to enter into sisterhood agreement

CEBU, Philippines - Mandaue City and the City of Talisay will soon establish a sisterhood agreement to strengthen their relations.

Mayor Jonas Cortes and Mayor Johnny Delos Reyes agreed in principle to establish a sisterhood agreement between Mandaue and Talisay cities citing its importance during calamities and emergencies.

Delos Reyes visited Cortes and asked for advice in addressing problems such as running public markets.

Cortes, on the other hand, welcomed Delos Reyes citing that Mandaue City wants to have a good relationship with Talisay City.

“Samtang duna ta’y sisterhood agreement sa ubang mga dakbayan sa laing mga probinsya, importante lang usab kaayo nga sa atong silingan nga dakbayan maayo ang atong relasyon,” Cortes said.

Delos Reyes said the city of Talisay will be proud to enter into a sisterhood pact with Mandaue. (FREEMAN)
