ABC in Lapu-Lapu has new president

CEBU, Philippines - Newly-installed president of the Association of Barangay Councils in Lapu-Lapu City said he will continue the projects and program undertaken by the previous administration.

Jose Dungog, barangay captain of Gungob replaced Leo Mercado who was elected as a regular member of the city council.

As president of the Association of Barangay Councils, Dungog will sit as ex-officio member of the city council.

Dungog served as treasurer during Mercado’s incumbency.

Elias Berdin, the former ABC vice president, was also elected as a member of the city council.

Dungog’s term will end on October, as the new set of officers of the ABC will be elected following the regular election of  barangay captains and Sangguniang Kabataan.

Dungog said despite his limited days, he will work for the good of the council.

Under the new set officers of the ABC in Lapu-Lapu City, Joseph Pangatungan of barangay Maribago sits as the vice president, Mario Inot, auditor, Johnita Amorin, secretary, Lourdes Ibag, treasurer, Mateo Dungog, Lauro Sorono, Ferdinand Cahilog, Tranquilino Omolon, Jr., Jimmy Ybañez , Evaristo Dihayco, Jr., members of the board of directors, Romeo Matbagon, Vergelio Casiao, Virgilio Dano, Lucresia Amores, and Nestor Paypa, members of the Council of Elders.
