JVR down with fever
CEBU, Philippines - Talisay City Mayor-elect Johnny delos Reyes was taken to hospital Wednesday night for high fever and swollen knees.
He is now confined to bed at the Miller Sanitarium Hospital being a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church.
But Delos Reyes without delay dismissed speculations he is unfit to serve as mayor.
“Nagpa-admit lang gyud ko karon sa ospital aron makapahuway tungod kay nihubag man gyud ni akong tuhod unya taas akong hilanat,†he said.
The mayor-elect said the campaign period may have worn him down.
“Niadtong tigom sa mga vendor ug tricycle driver pag-Martes, wala na gani ko makatiwas kay naglain na ang akong lawas. Nidesisyon na lang ko magpa-admit aron hingpit ko makapahuway sa akong lawas,†delos Reyes said.
Delos Reyes also dismissed rumors he has other ailments.
“Mopaubos ko og general check-up aron mapamatud-an nga wala ko’y laing gihambin nga sakit,†he said. (FREEMAN)
