Flor Z. Perolina - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - The police are looking for a delivery truck driver and his assistant for allegedly stealing P200,000 worth of goods they were supposed to bring to supermarkets in Cebu.

Dranix Distributors driver Armando Tiin, 35, of barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City and his truck man Romulo Ordinal Jr., of barangay Ibabao, Mandaue City failed to deliver 161 cases of assorted Kraft products amounting to P190,643.98 and 192 pieces of Tobleron chocolates worth P7,298.

Maria Judea Bantilles, supervisor of the two men, said the goods did not reach the supermarkets in Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu Tuesday morning.

The following day, the two men failed to show up for work, although the delivery truck was parked in the company’s premises.

The truck was empty when it was opened.  (FREEMAN)
